Fertan Tapox 2-K Tank sealing

TAPOX is the proven and durable, as well as very resistant 2-K tank interior coating.

Features:

• Fuel resistant
• Temperature resistant, resistant to +80°C E. g. for lacquers.
• Extremely resistant.
• Suitable for all fuel cards (e. g. : motorcycle, car, boat, fuel oil tank, industrial tank).
• Fuel tanks made of steel have the property to rust easily. The reason is the MTBE (methyl tertiate butyl ester) added to the impact resistance in modern fuels. A special 2-C inner coating, which is resistant to fuels, provides a remedy.
• Tapox Klein (285ml): Maximum tank volume: Motorcycle 20l / Autotank 45l.

Application:

• Before use, stir the product TAPOX very well, add hardener and mix to a completely thin coating. Please note that TAPOX is a resin and not a color and must therefore be stirred longer to obtain the completely thin mixture!
• Clean the tank very thoroughly before the inner coating, rust and protect it against new corrosion with FERTAN.
• Apply the TAPOX coating only to the completely dry tank.
• Pay close attention to processing instructions. Processing time of the mixed product, for interim storage at 0° – max 4° C, maximum 4 hours.

• Keep to the processing temperature (above 15° C).
• Hardener and stem must be mixed completely.
• Provide sufficient ventilation during curing (see instructions).
• TAPOX likes to settle more firmly on the bottom of the can. This does not affect the quality in any way, it may only be necessary to stir a little longer.
• Light pre-mixing is very useful and allows a better mixing of both components after the addition of the hardener, which is important for the adhesion of the final coating.
• Only optimally mixed components, at temperatures above 15°C, guarantee the perfect and fuel-resistant final coating with a very long service life.

  • Dust dry 15-30 min
  • Handle-resistant 60-120 min
  • Full 72 hours

• No processing tools required. (for commercial fuel tanks).
• For large tanks, which are accessible for example, an application is possible with the help of air tools or brushes/rollers.
• Air flow is mandatory.
