"Mennige" is a High quality primer with optimized corrosion protection properties of iron and steel.

Branth´s "Mennige" Rust prevention unleaded contains:

• Titanium compounds, which are resistant to corrosion
• Barrier pigments, which shield the ground against corrosive media quality
• Anti-corrosion pigments which cause electrochemical corrosion
• liquid corrosion inhibitors, with special creep
• Special binders, optimal adhesion to the substrate and intermediate adhesion to subsequent coatings
• proven chemical solvents combined with novel solvents from renewable resources.

Branth´s "Mennige" Rust Prevention is orange and matt. It can be painted over immediately with Brantho-Korrux "3 in 1" or Branth's-robust paint or not later than the next day by usual 1-component or 2-component intermediate or top coats. Sanding the next day is not necessary. For centuries "Mennige" was known as "Bleimennige" as a particularly effective corrosion protection coating material. Today, lead-containing coating materials, for reasons of safety and environmental protection are virtually no longer used. Therefore we offer our environmentally friendly alternative. It is visually easy to distinguish from a simple red-brown primer. Branth's "Mennige" is not classified according to EEC. The usage is neither dangerous nor environmentally harmful (= no symbol). This paint contains no lead, no zinc, no chromates, no isocyanates, no harmful aromatics solvents such as xylene. It is characterized by a low solvent content. This simplifies the process regarding labor and environmental protection.

High filling: good corrosion protection and edge protection for repainting, maintenance paintings or the paint spot prime. Application: by brush or roller in one component of delivery, or by some combination of splash by adding dilution.

Technical Data:
• "Mennige" is a PVC-free binder combination of natural and synthetic resins with environmentally friendly high efficiency of lead, zinc and chromate pigments and corrosion protection barrier pigments.
• Aromatics and wood-free solvent, and from renewable resources.
• Viscosity as supplied:> 200 sec / DIN 4 mm Dilution:
• Branth's Combined dilution (short dry season)
• Branth's Special Thinner (delayed drying) or similar commercially available nitro-, hard-, 2-K-dilution is better than turpentine, resin, thinner or gasoline.
• Specific weight: about 1.5 kg per liter.
• Solids content: 75%
• Coverage: 9m ² per liter. in my 60 or 18 thousand m² per liter. TSD with 30 my (theoretical). An usual painting however allows higher film thicknesses, hence the practical consumption is about 0.15 liters. per m².
• Color: orange, matt
• Shelf life: 24 months (within original sealed container)

Usage instructions:
Suitable coatings: iron and steel structures that are free from leaf rust, mill scale and loose paint. "Mennige" can be used for rust, hand prepared surfaces and wet blasted surfaces. "Mennige" always ensures optimum corrosion protection and a very good adhesion to old paint.
Overcoatability:
• any time without sanding with Brantho-Korrux "3 in 1" or Branth's "Robustlack";
• after 1-2 hours without sanding or later by the usual 1 K intermediate and topcoats;
• after 1 day or later without sanding with commercially available 2-K intermediate or top coats.
